The Single Drug Benzodiazepines (BZO) Test Device (Urine) is a chromatographic immunoassay for the quantitative detection of Oxazepam (major metabolite of Benzodiazepines) in human urine.
Principle:
The Single Drug Benzodiazepines (BZO) Test Device (Urine) detects drugs based on Fluorescence Immunoassay of competitive binding. Drugs which may be present in the urine specimen compete against the drug conjugate for binding sites on the antibody. The specimen moves through the strip from sample pad to absorbent pad by capillary action. The less drugs in the specimen, the more chance that fluorescent microspheres-conjugated anti-drug antibodies can be captured by the drug antigen coated on the membrane (Test line). The concentration of drug in the specimen is inversely related to the intensity of the fluorescent signal captured on the T line. According to the fluorescence intensity of the test and the standard curve, the concentration of drug in the specimen can be calculated by the analyzer to show drug concentration in urine.
